Project G28 — the garage that started The Garage Guys
This is our own villa garage in Jumeirah Park, transformed exactly the way we’d do yours. No showroom, no stock photos — a real Dubai garage, finished and photographed.
Where it started
A standard Jumeirah Park double garage doing what most Dubai garages do: storing heat, dust and a pile of things nobody could find. Bikes leaning against walls, boxes stacked on the floor, one ceiling light doing its best. This is it mid strip-out, before anything nice went in.
The redesign
We measured everything and planned the space around how the family actually lives: bikes used daily on one wall, a mezzanine overhead for once-a-year storage, cabinets and a workbench beneath it, a clean route from car to kitchen, and AC so the space works in summer.
The build
Electrical upgrades first, then AC, then walls and epoxy floor, then the custom-welded bike racks and mezzanine platform, and finally motion-sensor lighting inside and new external lighting at the entrance.
The result
A cooler, cleaner, properly organised garage: every bike on a rack, every tool in its place, seasonal stuff overhead, two cars still inside, and a floor you could eat off (please don't).
Feature by feature
What we built, up close
Every one of these is a service we offer on its own. G28 just happens to have all of them.
Custom welded bike racks Steel racks welded to fit the bikes the family actually rides — nothing off the shelf.
Cabinets & workbench Gloss black cabinetry, a solid timber worktop and track lighting under the mezzanine.
Workbench detail Timber top, soft-close drawers and a safety bar protecting the switchgear.
Mezzanine & ladder A welded access ladder to the storage platform overhead — seasonal boxes off the floor for good.
Room for every bike Racks stacked two-high so every bike is off the floor and easy to grab — and the car still fits.
Entrance & external lighting New external lighting at the entrance and a clean route from the driveway in.
AC & epoxy floor Split AC keeps it usable in August; the epoxy floor wipes clean in seconds.
Still fits two cars All that storage, and both cars still park inside. That was the whole point.
